Martin Brothers Construction was founded in 1996 by Tranquilino and Felipe Martin in Elk Grove, California. Their father, Felipe Martin, Sr., was an independent operator in Mexico during the 1960’s and 70’s and contributed greatly to his sons’ passion for the industry and desire for entrepreneurialism. MBC experienced humble beginnings but quickly progressed into a well established general contractor with a highly regarded reputation as an employer and contributor to the community.  

Tranquilino and Felipe began working out of a spare bedroom in Felipe’s home doing small and local paving and grating with five employees. In 1997, MBC performed $114,207 of work, but by 1999 had grown to 30 employees with $3,700,000 of work performed for the year. In 2004, Felipe Martin became the sole shareholder.

Today, MBC is a 8(a) and HUBZone certified contractor that employs over 75 persons and serves many of the major commercial, industrial and residential development organizations as well as virtually all local, county, state and federal contracting agencies. MBC now consistently performs millions of dollars of work annually, always staying true to its company vision of Pride, Quality and Commitment to Excellence. 

MBC boasts an impressive EMR safety rating of .67 and is sufficiently bonded ($40 million single/$80 million concurrent). With a team of over 75 employees and over $4 million worth of equipment in its fleet, MBC possesses the knowledge, experience and skill necessary to design and construct the best solutions while employing optimal construction methods. This means maximum efficiency and minimum cost while delivering high quality projects, often ahead of schedule.
